Description

The HABC Level 2 Certificate in Providing Security Services (QCF) is designed for those working in the security industry. There are four possible pathways that learners can follow: General, CCTV, Static and Patrol Guarding, and Door Supervision. This qualification is the competency component of the Providing Security Services apprenticeship. Additional qualifications are required to obtain the full Apprenticeship.

Assessment

Through a portfolio of evidence which is put together during the course and demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria.

Content

Topics covered include communicate effectively with others, control security incidents, portray a positive personal image, reducing the risks to health and safety at work, searches of people and their property, searches of vehicles for unauthorised items, control entry to and egress from premises and deal with disorderly and aggressive behaviour.
