DESCRIPTION
COURSE BREAKDOWN
- Emergency First Aid at Work will be delivered in-person at our Glasgow Training Centre on the Thursday over one (1) day .
- Door Supervision will be delivered in-part virtually (via Microsoft Teams Days 2, 3 and 4) & the rest in-person (Days 5-6). This will start on Monday 1st June.
- Day 7 is reserved for the 4 exams - these exams are electronic with Instant exam results. These will be held on Saturday 6th June.
- All courses will be held during normal business hours (0900-1700).
ASSESSMENT
Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry:
This unit will be assessed by an externally set and internally marked practical assessment. This unit will also be assessed by an externally set and marked multiple choice question paper consisting of 72 questions. The examination will last for 110 minutes and learners will be required to gain 70% pass mark.
Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry:
This unit will be assessed by an externally set and internally marked practical assessment. This unit will also be assessed by an externally set and marked multiple choice question paper consisting of 50 questions. The examination will last for 75 minutes and learners will be required to gain 70% pass mark.
Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry:
This unit will be assessed by an externally set and internally marked practical assessment. This unit will also be assessed by an externally set and marked multiple choice question paper consisting of 20 questions. The examination will last for 30 minutes and learners will be required to gain 70% pass mark.
Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry:
This unit will be assessed by an externally set and internally marked practical assessment. This unit will also be assessed by an externally set and marked multiple choice question paper consisting of 30 questions. The examination will last for 45 minutes and learners will be required to gain 80% pass mark.
ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS
The cost of the course includes a pre-requisite course, assessments, exams, and two (2) resit exams if required.
